We have introduced Rush lead times to make urgent projects easier to complete. To help you navigate the updated instant quote system, we prepared this guide so you can see how Standard and Next-Day Rush options appear and how to choose the timing that fits your needs.

If you already have a file and want to see price and lead time right away, you can open the Instant quote tool here.

To begin, here is an example of how Next-Day Rush appears for FDM in the instant quote tool.

What Lead Time Means in the Instant Quote Tool

The instant quote tool calculates lead time automatically based on your selected technology and material. Every part card displays the estimated timing for that configuration and updates the moment you change any setting.

Standard lead times generally follow these ranges

  • FDM Standard - 1-3 business days

  • mSLA Standard - 1-3 business days

  • SLS Standard - 2-4 business days.

Next-Day Rush applies to selected FDM and mSLA materials when your file is uploaded and the order is submitted before the cutoff. The cutoff details appear in a later section.

Where Next-Day 3D Printing Appears in the Quote Flow

After you upload your files, the tool processes each model and brings you to Step 2. Price calculation. This is where you select technology, material, color, and quantity for each part. This is also where the Next-Day Rush 3D printing option appears.

Below is an example of the mSLA configuration card with a Next-Day Rush resin.

The Next-Day Rush option is visible in both the technology and material fields. When selected, the estimated lead time updates to one day. You can move between Standard and Rush at any time before completing the order.

For more detail about SLA options and typical applications, you can visit our resin 3D printing page. At the same time, if you want a closer look at materials and settings for the FDM process, you can read our FDM 3D printing page.

How the System Updates Lead Time

Every change to technology or material triggers a new calculation. Standard selections display estimated timing within the ranges listed earlier. Next-Day Rush selections display one day.

If you select Rush after the cutoff, the estimate will still show one day and the job will be treated as starting the following business day.

Understanding the Cutoff Time for Next-Day Rush

Next-Day Rush applies when the quote is submitted before noon ET on a business day. Orders placed after that time move to the next production day. The estimate will still read one day, and the workflow adjusts internally.

When to Choose Standard or Next-Day Rush

Standard is a good fit when

  • your project has room for a one to three day turnaround for FDM or mSLA

  • you expect revisions during early design cycles

  • the parts are not time sensitive

Next-Day Rush is useful when

  • you need a part ready for testing the following day

  • you are preparing for a meeting or demo

  • a fixture or prototype needs immediate replacement

If you are unsure which option is appropriate, select the configuration that matches your timeline, then check the updated estimate in the part card.
